After spending most of their respective careers advocating for clients who suffered personal injuries as a result of someone else’s negligence at a prominent Suffolk County personal injury law firm, Walker and Mackenzie joined their forces to create a different kind of law firm.

Meet Svetlana Walker, Esq.
With a unique combination of legal expertise and a deep-rooted background in social work, Svetlana Walker brings both compassion and skill to her legal practice. As a licensed social worker and attorney, she is especially attuned to the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals navigating the justice system. Her career has been shaped by a singular passion: helping those who often feel voiceless or overwhelmed by the complexities of the law.
Before becoming an attorney, Svetlana spent years advocating for participants involved in government and non-profit agencies, including Suffolk County Drug Court, Mental Hygiene Legal Services, and Empire Justice. Her work in these programs allowed her to provide critical support to individuals facing not only legal issues, but also mental health, substance abuse, and socioeconomic challenges. This hands-on experience has given her a nuanced understanding of the intersection between legal needs and human services—insight that informs every case she takes on.
Svetlana is deeply committed to public service and access to justice. She has personally dedicated over 500 hours of pro bono legal services to individuals who could not afford representation, believing firmly that income should never be a barrier to quality legal advocacy. Whether she is guiding a client through a difficult legal process or standing up for the rights of the underserved, Svetlana approaches every case with empathy, diligence, and a steadfast commitment to fairness.

Meet Megan Mackenzie, Esq.
Megan brings a wealth of diverse legal experience and a fierce dedication to justice to her role as a personal injury attorney. She began her legal career in the public sector, where she served in the litigation department of the Nassau County Attorney’s Office. This experience sharpened her legal strategy and deepened her understanding of how to effectively advocate within—and against—powerful institutions. Megan then transitioned to private practice, where she honed her skills across a broad range of legal areas, including matrimonial law, guardianship proceedings, civil litigation, and business transactions. This early exposure to complex and sensitive matters gave her a solid foundation in both litigation and client advocacy.
Today, Megan devotes her practice exclusively to representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence or recklessness of others. Her transition into personal injury law was driven by a strong sense of purpose: to give a voice to those who have been hurt, overlooked, or unfairly treated. She is known for her relentless pursuit of justice and her unwavering commitment to securing the maximum compensation her clients deserve.

Thomas J. Youllar Esq.
Tom began his legal career working for a large private law firm litigating a variety of lawsuits at both the state and federal levels. The areas of practice Tom handled included: Medical Malpractice, Product liability, Premises liability, Automobile liability, Intellectual property, Civil rights litigation, and Environmental law litigation.
Since then, Tom has worked for large corporations handling the defenses of insurance law litigation, mostly Automobile and Premises liability litigation, with extensive jury trial experience. He has taken numerous jury verdicts in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County. He also has handled Insurance litigation in Life, Annuity, Dental, Disability, and No-fault insurance. Tom has briefed and argued multiple appeals at the New York Appellate Division.
Tom has now parlayed the knowledge he has gained while on the defense/insurance side of litigation to his plaintiff’s personal injury practice. Now representing those injured in car accidents, motorcycle accidents, dog attacks, slip/trip and fall accidents, and other types of lawsuits, Tom has secured multiple millions of dollars in recoveries for his clients. In 2024 alone, Tom recovered in excess of $5 million dollars for his clients.
Academic highlights include Tom graduating with his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany in three years with a double major. While at SUNY Albany he also published articles in the field of psychology/neuropsychology and served on the Class Council. He earned his law degree at Hofstra University where he attended on an academic scholarship, edited and was published in the Hofstra Cyberlaw Forum law journal, and served on the Student Bar Association.
Tom is admitted in New York and New Jersey state courts. He is admitted to federal courts in New Jersey, the Eastern District of New York, and the Southern district of New York. He is also a Patent Attorney admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
